Liverpool Architecture Festival is delighted to be working with dot-art to facilitate a free to enter art competition. dot-art is an established, independent, not-for-profit arts organisation working with individuals, communities, and businesses throughout the Liverpool City Region.

#LAF24 and dot-art are working together to offer this great opportunity to artists of all levels to enter interpretations of their Neighbourhood, which have a connection to architecture and the built environment.

Winning and shortlisted entries will be exhibited in the dot-art Gallery located within the Queen Avenue Arcade in the heart of Liverpool’s historic downtown. The exhibition will be free to the public during June. There will be a prize giving event during the exhibition to celebrate the entries, and participants of all capabilities.

“A Window to your Neighbourhood”

What does your neighbourhood mean to you? How is it framed within your day-to-day life? What local buildings, monuments, or built objects hold memories or stories? What hidden architectural gems does your local area hold?

dot-art and Liverpool Architecture Festival are inviting artists of all ages and backgrounds, working in any media from pencil to paint to print, to produce art work showcasing the unique character of the diverse neighbourhoods of the Liverpool City Region. We want to move away from Liver Birds and grand neoclassical facades and showcase the architectural features outside the city centre, within your local neighbourhoods.
