Come shine or rain (it is British summer after all!) we will be there with our sun cream, gazebos and umbrellas for an afternoon of fun and family friendly competition open to all ages.
The theme for the day is 'SandCities' - these can be any cities you like! From mythical to fictional, to famous capitals of the world and even our very own Liverpool!
- Either come as a team or join a team when you arrive and get ready to create your sandcastles - Bring your bucket, spade or any household items and make your own sandcastle masterpiece. Please feel free to bring any items that will help your designs come to life.
- After creating their 'SandCities' the teams will then present their creations, with a Title for each and a bit of a blurb of their inspiration and theme
- The sandcastles will then be judged, with the most compelling design and presentation winning aspecial prize for their team!
Please note that this event is not suitable for furry friends. Thank you for your understanding.

Travel Information:
- You will find us at the access to West Kirby Beach via Morrisons on Dee Lane, CH480QG. We willhave gazeebos and a 'LAF' sign
- There is parking at the Leisure Centre or it is a 5 minute walk from West Kirby train station (32 minutes via train from Liverpool Central)
- Toilet facilities and light refreshments are available within West Kirby Beach

Approximate Breakdown of the Day:
12:00-12:15 pm: Sketch and plan out your ideas.
12.15-13:45 pm: SandCastle Building time!
13:45 pm: Presentation of the finished creations.
14:00 pm: Winners announced
