Paper Architecture - Children’s Model Making Workshop

Please join Cass Art and Landscape Architect Anastasiya Yurkevich for a free children’s model-making workshop, titled Paper Architecture.

Children will create from a milk bottle-shaped structure inspired by a traditional terraced house. One side will become the façade, while the other side will be cut away to reveal a simple multi-level interior — similar to a dollhouse.

On the exterior, children can draw and cut out windows and doors, decorate façades, and add details such as chimneys, smoke, animals, or plants. Inside, they can create a simple cardboard interior or illustrate furniture and rooms directly onto the surfaces. Each child will also invent a character who might live in the house, bringing the space to life through storytelling and imagination.

Older children can focus on adding intricate details and personalised elements, while younger children can approach the activity more freely through colour, shape, and expressive mark-making.

A key part of the workshop is collaboration between children and their parents or carers

All materials will be provided by Cass Art.

Event is free. No prior booking required - just turn up.
